ONDO STATE GOVERNMENT CANCELLED THIS YEAR’S DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION

In Ondo, the State government has canceled this year’s democracy day celebration.                                      A statement by the Chief Press secretary to Governor Richard Olatuji indicates that this is consequence of the terror attack on worshippers at Saint Francis Catholic church Owo, on Sunday, June 5th, 2022.  The statement adds that the cancellation is to enable the entire people of Ondo state to mourn their loved ones who lost their lives in the attack. Recalled that the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu had directed that all flags in the State be flown at half-mast for seven days in honor of the victims of the attack.
