Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi says it is now mandatory for all its Junior cadre to enlist for arms training and weapons handling.
He said with the wave of insecurity in the country and ahead of next year’s General elections, the Corps will evolve new strategies to ensure a crime free nation.
Dr. Audi disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja during the commandant General’s second Quarter conference.
He also urged Nigerians to disregard reports that the NSCDC is currently recruiting stating that the process would be made public when the times comes.
